  • Yea, schedule is still mostly to blame, just think about how empty the streets are for many hours a night, or very little traffic at 11 AM or 2 PM. This is why I'm doing everything I can to try to avoid getting stuck commuting at normal times. I'd rather have a job that starts at 6 AM and ends at 2 PM.

  • It looks extremely functional with maximum space usage which is great, similar to a Kei van.

  • The whole "she can't win" thing, I remember people saying that about trump as well.

  • Yea I agree, she's one of the only people I'll vote for.

  • Everyone commuting at the same time is borked. Drive around a 3 AM, there's no traffic. It'd be better if we pushed for shifts that don't NEED to be 9 AM to 5 PM out towards a different time like 6 AM to 2 PM.

What's "borked" is that we all conform to a weird strict standard of all leaving/returning at the same hour.

  • I think the reason Benadryl is still used is because of lack of education, which is very powerful. I think we can all do a better job of being public and talking about what's worked for us better.

  • Yes, apartment, street parking in Chicago. I've had my 2023 Bolt for almost 2 years now.

  • And yes, even though I don't "like" Walmart, this means I'm going to be shopping there more often while I charge my car because convenience.

  • This seems like a great time to mention what I built and hosted months ago. https://masland.tech/ai-efficiency-index/

The AI Efficiency Index tracks the cost/intelligence mix. Low intelligence is useless. Capability scales exponentially. Expensive ≠ better value. MiMo-V2.5 is the leader.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. This uses the Artificial Analysis leaderboard. They have "cost per task" which I think is weird.

  • Shell is an evil demon corporation.

  • Russia is in a major fuel crisis, this won't help. The Russian economy is in a severe recession which will get worse as Ukraine continues to destroy their logistics. Putin should announce leaving Ukraine immediately, it's the only way to stop Russia from falling apart.

  • Yes good, then it will no longer be able to track the message count in your room.

  • You should probably make them private so no one can find them at all. If you make a room public, anyone can find it using something like this, not just myself, public decentralized protocol.

  • I used AI as a tool to write the syntax, I was the one who managed the design and came up with the solution myself.

  • I've been thinking about buying a hot plate for a while now, this has pushed me to get one. And wow, less than $20 is pretty awesome for 1000W. I rent, and never want to turn my gas stove on again.

  • I was actually thinking about this recently. It's now making a lot of sense to just cover the mega carriers in solar panels like this. Could probably even just carry a massive battery and be completely emissions free. Maybe a tiny nuclear reactor as an emergency backup?

  • Torvalds has years of experience as a developer, he wrote:

AI is a tool, just like other tools we use. And it's clearly a useful one.

Which I firmly agree with. I think if AI is used responsibly it can be beneficial for certain tasks. More education around better AI usage and practices is more important now than ever before.

  • Wyoming is bullying the population by voting in idiots.

  • It's weird that I see aluminum can coke and plastic bottle coke, similar volume, basically the same price. Where one container is much more valuable and 100% recyclable, the other is harming the planet and is almost never recycled.
