  • Thanks! Im really happy with how the build has come along. I’ve been planning accumulating parts for it for almost a year. And it’s finally all together and working.

    I really want to build a bicycle next. The problem is that the temptation to make something over powered is too great. I’ve had friends tell me that having an ebike actually helped them lose weight because it made it easier to go for a ride. Which encouraged them to ride more.

  • I did kinda under sell it hahaha the battery is 70AH. It is 72v and rated at 420amps continuous and 800amps boost for 15secs. I’m hoping for around 50 miles of useable range. My goal is to use it for all my in town commuting. Building it has been the medium through which I’ve been touching grass for the last few months.

    I haven’t been talking about it here because it’s quasi-doxxable since I’m pretty sure I’m the only person doing this swap into this bike. The bike is super rare, maybe only a few dozen left in the world.

  • I have an old late 70s dirt bike I’ve swapped to electric and made it street legal. It makes around 30kw right now. It’s 72v running 400a line and 1000a phase. I’ll eventually turn it up to 800a line and 1800a phase once I finish the water cooling loop.

  • In honor of pride month I started listening to an audiobook called Dreadnought. It’s about a trans girl who inherits superpowers and it’s really good. I usually only listen to books at work but I ended up listening to it at home while working on my ebike project. I just started book 2 last night and I’m already a few hours into it.

  • It’s because molotovs are classified as a destructive device, like a hand grenade or improvised explosive. So therefore they are regulated like any other weapon. You can actually legally make them if you have the right licenses and you serialized them with the proper paperwork.

  • What are they chambered in? My Brother in law has a ww2 pre-ban Thompson and it’s an absolute riot to shoot. I firmly stand by the fact that even the most anti-gun person would have a blast shooting a Thompson. That little vertical grip is interesting if it’s effective at countering the barrel rise.
