Not a bot 😄

  • I suspect he does this so that he can say "oh! I'm so sorry! It must have slipped our collective minds over here at spaceX. I aught to give you even more money!"

"Tell you what: how about i buy your entire company ? That's right, that's right; it's your lucky day, you little dickensian urchin. Your teensy tiny little venture has caught my eye. It would be a great addition to my expanding engineering portfolio."

Driving the contractor firm to the brink of desperation improves their bargaining power because the guy has to choose to either 1) continue to not be paid or 2) have his employees starve for a bit longer, probably quitting en masse when he can't pay them.

Then SpaceX can just plop down launchpads by themselves because they have a whatever-you-call-that. A spin-out? A contracting division with expertise in spacepad construction.

  • maybe im just an idiot or have really bad arguments and opinions

I hate how reddit relies on bullying people... all of them, who behave so similarly to one another over there - that is the result of bullying and conditioning until they match that desired social norm.

To be honest, I actually got banned from reddit shortly after I made more of an effort to show kindness to people and communicate in a more casual, natural way for me; less like redditore are known for. It could just be a coincidence but it felt like getting banned for breaking their social-programming.

And yes I've had your experience where they pretend to not know what you're talking about. If you still need something like Google pay, I hear that revolut is good.

  • I don't think predators get the urge to eat other predators.

  • No but I did fabricate the quotes. I was trying to riff that since the bottom-most commenter's username is GalacticRobot, and they seem ignorant of basic understanding of ND conditions, that they were a really bad AI

  • It had a shit ton of practical stunts

    Including semen webbing? 😏

  • Got you

  • If this is in the latest movie, he's old enough to drive by then because it's actually three years after high school, right?

    No spoilers please

  • Super based

  • a galactic robot, literally using a galaxy-wide dataset of different individuals across millions of species

    not trained on human diversity

Classic AI slop! They train these robots for nonsense nobody on Earth asked for, like talking to aliens, and nothing that Earth people actually need, such as basic empathy and knowledge of social anxiety.

  • Edit: Tango's explaination makes much more sense

She brings a guy from her class back h0me, under the guise of sex, but gets him to do her homework for her instead. Lol.

  • Most of my life (growing up with not much money) I've only taken really short breaks that wouod fit in a three day weekend, so this seems like a sound idea.

  • Profound

  • Casual Conversation @piefed.social

What steps do you need to take to ensure that a vacation is a good mental break? To get the most out of it?

  • Does this comic suggest that failure and success depends on where we take data points? I.e the graph on left hand side might be a small part of the one on right hand side

  • Could it be a holdover from communist Russia? I can certainly see how it would work as a business model; especially if people are using cafes to work or study in and you're not that concerned about food prices, or if you figure out that every customer is just buying roughly the same amount.

  • Indeed. And then some people suggest 'waiting for all DLCs to release" before playing, but I've found games impossible to get into if they're inundated with extra content by the time i start them. (Sims 4, City Skylines, Anno 1800)

  • It looks like a very atypical roguelite to me, full of information overload. I like them as long as they're symbol and the UI doesn't overload the user

  • Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga

It's so atrocious!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asked my friend with SHIT taste in games whether the hype was true and he lied to me that it was a great game.

I had completed every film except episode 9 (the wound of actually watching it was still too tender). So i focused on levelling up character abilities and doing quests. When I was outside a planet, getting shot at as usual, I realised every single planet had the same copy and paste battle event, and I'd have to do this for all 30 something of the planets in the game. It made me angry that it was so full of time wasting activities. I uninstalled.

They also dismantled a formula which worked very well, to make that game. And to make lego the incredibles and lego indiana Jones 2 (arguably less so. That one is really fun); these three all have abnormally short levels. It's lazy. Nobody would have complained if they just released the same levels from the complete saga but slightly expanded, accommodating new character abilities and mini kit puzzles, and focused on making character movement and combat more fluid (the one thing they did achieve)

  • Dead tree = healthy forest

A nearby forest that was shown to me in covid lockdown has a nice clearing at the lowest section with a few tree logs to sit on. Yesterday I noticed mushrooms there for the first or second time i can remember, which i credit to all the dead wood that's left alone there.

It feels like such a healthy place; on one side is allotments, on the other side is a huge meadow. To the top and bottom it's bounded by forested roads, but on the other side of them is more greenspace. I should really learn thoroughly how forest ecology works, but I get the feeling that it's healthier as a result of more green on all sides.
