  • Xbox, in 2013, was trying to be consumer-friendly with it's game sharing system. I hate to feel like I am defending Microsoft, but the convoluted game sharing system that they had proposed along with the Xbox One reveal would have ultimately allowed consumers to finally resell digital games.

  • Interesting that slrpnk.net comes up as one of the autofill options in the textbox when you start typing. But, as you say, Thunder still indicates that it "does not appear to be a valid instance" for some reason.

    I assume that means that this Lemmy instance is hardcoded into Thunder as part of an a array of popular/common instances, but that something is "wrong" on the server side and slrpnk is not announcing itself in a way that Thunder is expecting.

    Another quirk involving the original series’ tunics were the colors - in particular, “command.” Trekkies everywhere will swear Spock wore blue, Scotty wore red and Kirk wore gold. Wrong. The three Starfleet colors were blue, red and green. Lime green, to be exact. “It was one of those film stock things;” Theiss states, “it photographed one way - burnt orange or a gold. But in reality was another; the command shirts were definitely green.” As further proof, look at the wrap-around tunics as well as the dress uniform tunics of Kirk’s – all green. They came off as their true colors because they were constructed of different materials than the standard duty command shirts.

  • Out of all the dozen or so individuals who were confirmed to be Cylons by the end of the series, the only individual who was detected by the Cylon detector was Boomer. That is a pretty awful accuracy rate, and could possibly have just mistakenly flagged the wrong sample as a Cylon. It may have been a total fluke that the one sample that it detected was someone who did turn out to actually be a Cylon.

  • Humanoid Cylons are physiologically indistinguishable from humans. Remember how much time/effort was put into developing the "Cylon detector" blood test, and how they ended up determining that the technology wasn't effective and that it was impossible to tell them apart? I take it that a surgeon could operate on a humanoid Cylon without knowing it was not human at all.

  • Sony doubles down. Only responds to their investors, not the consumers. I've never bought a digital console title. That will continue.
