"If I shit ass the fard, I shit with the fard. If the fard ass the shit, I fardass the shit. If the shitass the cum, I cum with that shit. If I cum, I shided."

-Letters to my Wife, from shidass fart cum prison.

  • I don't know anything about european socialism. Only in Kerbal Space program.

  • If it doesn't exist then you're upset over nothing. Seems a bit silly, does it not?

  • Ok, and so if you saw an example of something that is not a state which has managed to do just that then would you l consider it successful?

  • ~~Ok, how about ending the transatlantic slave trade? Proudhon didn't invent anarchism, he himself admits that, only the word. He observed the slave abolitionists. All anarchism is is a banner to follow, not a book written by a man.

The entire point of the post is that statists cannot accurately assess anarchism because it would require accepting that the western world is not better than what came before. And the assumption that it is is just cultural hegemony.~~

Edit: Actually, scratch that. It's clear based on your edit as well as your choice of article that you don't read these things, you just skim. And my words deserve better than skimming.

  • Wait, check your choice of words!

At the start of the last passage he explicitly states that anarchism cannot be measured through the lens of a state. Success and material benefits are never mentioned.

The point he is making is that if you assume that

State = Success and material benefits

then anarchism by definition cannot be successful. You are the one who defined the state as meaning success and material benefits.

  • How so?

  • This isn't trying to convince you because you are not the intended audience.

You entered a space not meant for you,

    you offended yourself,

you then tried to blame the locals and proceeded to call me "primitive".

You didn't need to tell me that you're Spanish, I can smell the colonialism wafting off of you.

  • I'm not a chatbot, I don't spit out answers on demand.

My point is not about debate, it's that the intended audience is not you. Which means you cannot understand what it is trying to say unless you read it from the perspective of an anarchist.

The author is telling anarchists that you can't convince statists that anarchism is a good idea because they do not respect things that don't adhere to western imperial values.

  • That's a great question! And is actually the point of the chapter this comes from. This is a brief explanation, I highly recommend checking out David Graeber's work if you're interested in more (he's a very funny writer).

To start, who are we safeguarding it from? Without a state or a central authority you would need to convince every single neighborhood, workplace, household and so on that they should change. There's no military to coup, there's nowhere for a dictator to sit, and as for occupation, doesn't work too well against guerilla tactics which are entirely decentralized.

Also, an anarchist revolution won't look like a state takeover. Rather than chopping off the head and taking its place we work on hollowing out the state and replacing it with secondary support structures. Which is what we've been doing since the fall of Spain. We were told to sabotage the enemy and stay hidden, and we never stopped (This is called security culture, and it was adopted when black anarchism became the dominant anarchist strain after the collapse of syndicalism) Like roaches, if you start seeing anarchists then we've already taken over.

  • That's not the point of the passage. Try again, but consider where this was posted and who the intended audience is. Are you the intended audience?

  • Good question!

Does it seem that the author enjoys debating? Why would an author who does not enjoy debate write something about debate?

  • Try again. This time try asking what the author is trying to say before coming up with a response.

  • Try again. This isn't Lenin, you can't just skim through and pretend you read it. And I know you just skimmed it because you Wylie Coyoted right into the point yet somehow missed it.

  • The original post was criticizing the objectification of women, where Right wingers see women as personal slaves but also continues liberalism for still objectifying women but collectively.

Personal property would be something only used by you – like a toothbrush or your own body.

A major tenant of Anarcho-Communism is the abolition of property , except personal property.

Transgender women are overrepresented in anarchist spaces.

The joke is that by transitioning to a woman the author is still seeing women as objects, even though in this context an object would have a different meaning.

    You look amazing, btw

  • The dialectic of mutual aid and later the dialectic of social ecology both address these.

If you would like to read about these from a Marxist perspective I recommend checking out Mutual Aid: A Factor in Evolution by Peter Kropotikin. You could also learn about social ecology by reading Bookchin... but he's a massive asshole.

  • There is ethical Marxism. By applying Marxist analysis to the field of biology Peter Kropotikin discovered the phenomenon of mutual aid, which he proposed in his book by the same name. Essentially, he observed that creatures that help each other are better off than those that don't. This school of Marxism became known as anarcho-communism. Eventually this would merge with black anarchism and Maoism to become communalism (Modern anarchism)

If you're interested in this you should read Post Scarcity Anarchism or The Conquest of Bread.

  • I was in a similar boat. I ended up getting a job as a camp counselor. Because it had room and board it gave me a buffer to find another job and housing.

If that doesn't work and you end up at school, make friends with your professors and a lot of em will let you know about new positions on campus.
