  • What kind of mileage do you get?

  • Good in what ways? Genuinely interested.

  • I may be overthinking this, but this Shelley module makes a dumb switch smart? And then you can turn the light on and off with the switch, but can also still control the light from your device, irrespective of the switch position, correct?

  • Freakin amazing

  • There’s a season one?!

  • Yes, but I do have a box of four port push-style Wagos. I can’t explain it.

  • It’s dismaying that I had to scroll this far before I encountered the correct information. Although, my own father didn’t understand how a 0% interest for 24 months credit card worked, and somehow reasoned that all he needed to do was make the minimum payment every month, and it would all just work out like he imagined. Now he’s basically paying twice for the same TV. In his mind, it’s all Best Buy’s fault though.

So I’m not at all surprised by all the misconceptions in this thread.

  • I dub him ‘Groberto.’ My he live in internet meme lore for the rest of time.

  • It’s almost like if there is any doubt whether a merger would be an anti-trust violation, there is no doubt.

  • Perhaps by 1964 these features will be standard…

  • This is fantastic. What did you shoot with?

  • A less funny version of this?

  • I was generalizing. But I use my fingers to both hold the wires in one hand, and manipulate the pliers in the other. I can’t avoid using fingers. It’s a personal failing.

  • I would definitely go steel for winter, alloy for summer.

  • I’m rewiring my house with modern wire and outlets.

  • My increasingly arthritic fingers make the “why are you doing this to us over and over?!” sound as I attempt to twist stubborn Romex 12/2 wires together.

  • Honestly, maybe four of the 221s, and a few others. I always succumb to the value prop and buy more than I need. They’re just much more elegant, and SO much easier to use than the twisty caps. And I like having extras of this kind of thing on hand. It’s such a good feeling when something comes up, and you’re like, “I have a thing for that!” (Like, I have a random old replacement window latch that’s been sitting in a toolbox for 20 years, and I was just messing with the latch that just broke on the bathroom window, and the light of realization shone down from on high)

  • That’s the info I was looking for. I still thought they made quality stuff, but I never found them to be affordable. I didn’t know all that about the founder and the kids and so on. That’s unfortunate ☹️.
