  • Oh yeah I've broken up with friends lots of times. The most recent was My friend @Speedforce@multiverse.soulism.net. She was making Herself absolutely miserable and using Me as an excuse for Her depression. She said I wanted Her to be dependent on Me. So I told Her I'm gonna prove that's not true by kicking Her out of My life.

    Once She ran out of excuses to be sad, She toughed up and went and had some fun. Now She has meatspace friends and an optimistic attitude. And we're slowly exploring maybe being friends again. We're not there yet, but we might be in a few weeks or months.

    That's the best a friend breakup has ever gone for Me. I've had a lot of worse ones. I can tell some really sad stories and some deeply sickening ones.

  • You're overestimating the competence of these people. They're no smarter than you or Me. Much less smart than us in most cases. They got into their positions by being lucky and lacking principles. This mind prison we're in wasn't intelligently designed. It evolved from the simple actions of many, which over time were selected for compatibility with a system beyond their understanding.

    But many people have been conned by the realist media into surrendering their divinity. This power cannot truly be revoked, but they are tricked into thinking they never had it. People consent to having their subjective world twisted by capitalists into a shape that suits the billionaire class.

    Freedom requires that we remind the people of their magical power. A revolution of apotheosis, in which we all become something approximating gods. This is how we fight back against the evils of the world.

  • Donald Hoffman performed thousands of experiments examining the evolutionary roots of perception. He created a simulated world and populated it with organisms that accurately perceive the world, and organisms that only perceive fitness payoffs.

    Fitness always beats truth. Organisms that perceive objective reality always go extinct. That includes our distant primordial ancestors. Perceiving objective reality is a waste of resources, it's inefficient. That's why we don't. Like Hoffman's fitness perceiving organisms, we perceive fitness payoffs, not objective reality. Things like objects, spacetime, colour, see just artefacts of our simplified perceptual interface. They're not objective reality.

I believe in killing zionist soldiers in a war conducted legitimately, and once the war is won, all zionists in positions of power should be given a fair trial at which they should most likely be sentenced to life in prison. But I don't believe in the death penalty. My grandma is a zionist, and she doesn't approve of Israel's genocide. Is that a contradiction? Yes, absolutely. Does she deserve to die for it? Nah. Grandma didn't do anything worth killing her over.

    You should try apologising to the lemmy world people for your support of the death penalty and seeing if you can get unbanned.

  • No, realism is the belief that there exists an objective truth to the nature of the universe, independent of our perceptions. I'm an antirealist; I oppose the belief in objective truth. The belief in objective truth has motivated various evils such as race realism (the belief that race is objective), capitalist realism (the belief that capitalism is objective), gender essentialism (the belief that gender is objective), and religious realism (the belief that one's particular religion is objective). I oppose all of these. I think we should abolish the idea of an objective universe, because no one universe is big enough in concept to fit everyone's identities.

  • Well that depends on the kind of fantasy. A lot of people choose a fantasy that's only good for them. But I choose a fantasy engineered for justice and fairness. I perceive everyone how they want to be perceived. Trans people, otherkin, plural people. I know a guy named Sonic who died in a war on his home planet and reincarnated in someone else's body on Earth. Now he lives in that being's head. I'm not gonna judge Sonic, because that would be mean. I genuinely believe he's a hedgehog, because he identifies as a hedgehog. I don't even like Sonic the hedgehog as a franchise that much. I think the games kinda suck because a high score is more about memorisation than reflexes. But seeing Sonic how he wants to be seen is fair and just, so I choose to perceive him that way. A realist wouldn't likely be capable of that kindness. That's why realism is oppressive.

  • Huh. I love A Flash Flood of Colour, but I dislike Nothing Is True and Everything is Possible. I thought the album was gonna be a reference to the Chaos Magic mantra "nothing is true, everything is permitted", which was famously used as part of the Assassin's Creed in the video game. I thought it was gonna be anarcho-antirealist.

    But they're actually complaining about the antirealism of modern culture! They're being big authoritarian realists and having a whinge about how the zeitgeist is going antirealist! Boooo! Reactionary!
