  • Considering how it was flying on the video, it is most probably downed. But I'm a mere random citizen, I may be wrong.

That doesn't looks like a typical final nose dive attack pattern like we see on all those refineries strikes, more like an out of control UAV after being struck by air defense.

  • Please mark as spoiler (rule 5)

  • A good landlord do add value.

They do repairs on time (which can be quite costly), takes care of most HOA stuff (and fees), pay quite a lot of taxes (depending on where you live, of course).

Personally I inherited part of my grandmother home (the other part being owned by my father). When she died, I redid most of the isolation, electrical and paints, costing me 75k, and had to do paint again (10k) after the first tenant (they ruined it, it went from white to dark yellow due to how much they smoked). We had some water damage, which was caused by the town (they refused to pay for the damages, invoking a impossible to follow law), and another one (caused by the neighbor, which refuses to do the repairs), which is still pending (we reduced the rent due to that).Add to that the taxes, which basically reduce our "earning" by 40% where I live, 6 years after my grandmother passing I just started to see any income from the property.

So yeah, there are bastards amongs us, but abput as much as in any group of people. That's not homeowning that make the bastard, they'd be bastard, home or not.

  • Basically, yes. But test is costly, and won't be of any help other than telling me "You're a Chimera, Harry".Sure, Chimeras are more likely to get some diseases , like autoimmune one (because the immune system suddenly realizing your left kidney isn't exactly yours 😅), and depression (dunno why 😅).

So for now I'll just deal with my naturally multicolored body hair (dark brown, some very blond patches, and some ginger bits), and move on.Now that I think about it... I'm a human calico 😆

  • Exactly. But entirely fused into one being. It happens in all species, including humans.

I may be one, but never bothered to test for. Could also be a slight vitiligo. Dunno.

  • This seems quite big for a 30W 😅.

If that's really an usb A port on the side, my own 25W is basically the size of one of your panels. But mine is 5V only. In theory, it is 2 15W ports (5V3A), but in reality it is more 10W (5V2A) each, when both are used, in ideal conditions.

Got another one which delivers 60W (45W using the PD USBC port), with integrated stand.

I also tested for Amazon Vime multiple solar pannel, but my biggest grief with all of them is that they lies about their IP rating. They simply gives the pannel own rating, wich doesn't applies to the connection box. That's not respecting the specs, which requires the whole item to be rated, not only part of it. If one follow that logic, my e-bike is IP68 too (if you take the chassis only and not the electronic bits).

  • Foes it works on scanned image PDF?

  • But you probably had to disconnect about everything, so in a way, they all became simple parts, in a way. Then, once your new mobo is connect, it becomes a new whole, a new PC.

  • Usually I consider my PC a new PC once I change the motherboard. Everything being connected to it, if I change it, it means all my parts go back to being parts, then part of a new whole.

  • Mod (on another community) here. You can select specifically which languages you want to allow, and then if the user tell it is written in another language (through the dropdown near the editor), it will refuse the post.

You can still post in Ukrainian if you lie and tell it it is English 😆.

  • Aurora Linux (immutable KDE with auto update) on the Desktop, Fedora KDE on the laptop.

  • Made my father switch to Linux about a year ago, so far he loves it. He has the tech knowledge of an oyster, but so far it worked.

Sure I had some convincing to do at first, but once he realized KDE is basically Windows well done without pesky ads, he was sold.

I still have to do some work from time to time (usually through Rustdesk), but globally it works well.

I have to admit my way of doing this was a bit underhanded (steps bellow), but it worked.

    1. Move his docs outside of the computer to a NAS. Like that no risk of loosing files. He believed for a long time files were bound to the OS (despire using OpenOffice and Libreoffice for decades), so he through that .odt made on Windows wouldn't be compatible with LibreOffice on Linux.
    2. Once W10 support had ended, didn't told him about the extension (I'm a sneaky bastard), and offered to dual boot Linux.
    3. Fumble the dualboot (oops, my bad, guess you have to use Linux for the time being, I don't have enough time to reinstall Windows 10). Who knows, maybe intentionally 😆
    4. Let him marinate about two weeks, forcing him to try Linux, helping him through Rustdesk when needed
    5. When I came back, he asked me if I could install Linux on his laptop. This time I did not fumble the dual boot, but still let Linux be the default boot option

Fast forward almost a year, he didn't boot Windows for at least 6 months, and is pretty happy how snappy Linux is (despite how weak is computer is, he has an Athlon 3000G, paid like fifty bucks years ago, new, with 4GB of RAM, recently upgraded to 8GB with old stock I had around).

  • Hard to tell.

  • Without physical disk I might as well get a Gabecube instead. At least once the next Gabecube "2" comes out, the old one won't become a paperweight and could become my parents next computer.

  • I test products for a major online retailer, the amount of AI generated images is too damn high! Some of these producs are so bad I just give them away once the retention period (when you cannot sell or give them) is up. But sometimes you get some pretty good surprises (like those electric insect bite healer devices, that works surprising well).

  • The definition of what is or is not depends a lot on the person. In my case it is pretty simple: Can I plug a keyboard and do spreadsheets on that fucker? Yes. Then that's a PC. As soon as you can do more than play games and watch movies on it, it stop being a console.

  • Valve explicitly said it is to be considered as a PC, focussed on playing game, not a console. Thus a PC price point, not sold at loss.

    Their word, not mine.
