praise Ishtar/Inanna/Astarte Queen of Heaven and Earth

sorry if i hornyposted i like to fixate on my hobbies

  • i almost picked up neuromancer at the book store but thought it would feel too dated. wish gibson wasn't such a lib. guess it's better then going full right wing

  • it's surprisingly well balanced. besides food/hunger/etc: slowly as you lose touch with your humanity (you can get it back but it's tough) you will find it easier to just use drugs/alcohol to help your character

probably the only game mechanic for substance use that holistically fits both the game's theme and weaves into the mechanics without just being a "you get some bonuses but there's a tradeoff".

my V has to down a bottle of liquor after waking up just to function and she's not even addicted to the alcohol it just helps her cope and not have a sudden cyber-cardiac event

  • haven't played the final version. it's not lib it shows how amazing central planning is

the devs are def soviet asthetic fandom types and roleplay silly in the updates but unless they've updated with politics the worse thing is "secret police" which seems like a pretty non invasive way to make sure your teachers, administrators, power plant managers, etc aren't reactionaries. you don't even arrest them it's more like a background check so they can't get too high in admin

beyond that your goal is to literally make everyone happy and well provided for. the game will let you do full post-scarcity if you go for it

i'm too tired for more info but you can play it like sim city and turn off systems. start either with familiar stuff or go all in. and then there's the mode where you have to do construction infrastructure first and have to build everything with heavy equipment, resources, and time. and that's where the game enters a realm like Kerbal Space Program

i love taking a devastated, post WW2 micro-nation where everyone is huddling in medieval buildings and build construction yards at the edge of the map and slowly build them their own modern nation with all their needs provided for. WALKABLE cities. it's so fun to lay paths and you learn the glory of the micro-district where everything people need is right there!

and there is a simple local market economy and export economy so the game acknowledges people still shop and enjoy life in a socialist republic

  • maybe (yes)

  • i sometimes think im just legit guyaphobic (from some trauma) but i like feminine men even if i had to navigate a lot of crushes that i could never reciprocate

i resist the urge to want to build some femme supremacy sapphic cult because that would be bad right

  • yeah i should have said "our modern equivalent of a similar fate and far less dramatic"

  • time to get poetic that game was my drug for like 6 years i love that u posted this

RP-1 blew my mind it was the hardest thing I ever played and at that point I was a 4 year vet of KSP. I could never play my own vanilla+++ modpack again without at least scaling the kerbal system up to like 75% of RP-1 sol system

and then forever after my own pack had to be my own version of the RP-1 experience: part failures, limited engine ignitions, diverse fuel options, life support, build time, etc. i just slapped on a bunch of economy mods too; a few I threw some ideas at that were implemented. i loved a deep research tree going to near future tech level with weird research mission rules, crew rotation, and balancing a budget. building launcher families and testing them over and over and over. rating them by weight. mass producing them. naming them! ugh i hate that back then i was obsessed with the U.S. space program not Soviet

RP-1 was felt like a cool history lesson and made you a test pilot. my own pack was more like Space Agency Central Planner that was my jam

so yeah i loved RP-1 but mostly i loved it for what it made me do to my own pack i was chasing that high lol i felt like a fucking engineer administrator

i wanted to try Principia so bad but couldn't get it to be compatible with my pack builds and was afraid of too much CPU use. i could do manual flight but did so many launches due to realism that I used mechjeb and just took over sometimes. I tried kOS but was enslaved by the Jeb

i sometimes check the progress of kitten space agency because it legit seems to solve every problem built into that game's sourcecode and the unity engine

    • Dark Future for Cyberpunk 2077

    • Basically every mod made for Kerbal Space Program 1 (i loved that c. 2016 modding community so much i was like the resident cheerleader/beta tester/booster for the modders everyone was so sweet and nerdy)

    • Kaiserreich for HOI4 even though i've evolved beyond it actually helped me conceptualize a leftist revolution, finally see leftists as good guys, and forced me to deep dive into so much 20th history of the left

    • shoutout to the Star Trek Stellaris mod even if it ran like shit

    • some fallout 4 mod that let me aesthetically build the Minutemen into an primitive anarcho-communist faction. i almost built a mod for that game to give it an actual story

    • so many others: mods to me are like fanfic is to my partner it's my special interest but i am too sleepy/high to remember any others because if I did there would be like 100 entries.

  • too real.

i just talk out loud using terms from cyberpunk 20xx if I mess with anything outside the walled gardens of my family's laptops or even my own stuff now

using archive.is to get a round a paywall is just breach protocol.

i jack into every phone or tablet i touch.

installing an ad blocker and firefox on my mom's new laptop is netrunning. shit watch out for ICE (two meanings there lol)

it at least makes it a little fun i guess to live in the fantasy of a cyberpunk dystopia but at least we have cool implants and where gender affirming care is like having a wart removed

  • was outside tonight doing some clandestine water canning of my potted plants and prepping for the heat. plenty of bugs about. little jumping spider by the hose nozzle and a big grass spider by my feet.

i gave them both a little spritz of mist. the jumper was too small to track but that grass spider ran around for a second before stopping to slurp slurp slurp.

just make sure you don't hit them with too cold water, preferably filtered if possible, and spray far away as possible but close enough they can feel the drops. some spiders will "lick" the water off their own bodies if they are thirsty. you can tell if their abdomens look a little like a deflated balloon. so yeah don't forget about the littlest things in this heat

  • i want to agree with this but don't want to get myself in trouble

  • i think he's basically a less radical Allende. actual socialist doing stuff by following the rules but in an aggressive way (that has been throwing reactionary opposition off balance) as well as backed up by a core group of supporters

he may face a similar fate unfortunately

  • i dunno if this is nominative determinism at play but I formerly welcome our first Shitposting

  • elon's daughter is like the funny shitposter he wishes he could be. she's an endearing nerd instead of a gross one. her politics are cool and good for someone that young

somebody tell me what this means
