    Literally can't listen to this without crying because it was playing while my dog was dying as I rushed him to the vet and coincidentally right after I put my dog down and had to immediately go to work right after. I can listen to the original version of the song, any other kind of cover or remix, but this specific song is tightly associated to that trauma.

    If I remember correctly talking to a farmer one time, the jalapeños crop like on a whole is on a gradual trend towards losing their capsaicin levels through the generations and years that its gotten to the point industrial food manufacturers have to add in synthetic capsaicin to actually make spicy jalapeño based products. The reasoning if I remember is that huge crops of mild jalapeños create a large stable flavor baseline that the manufacturers can adjust upwards more easily rather than relying on arbitrary nature and plants or some sort of expensive sorting system to try and create hot, medium, and mold jalapeño based products.
