  • "Bus? No we bulldozed hundreds of neighborhoods to build highways so now everyone has to have a car"

  • I feel like that should have the opposite implication 🫠

  • Third party apps like Textra or Pulse can't access the RCS APIs, if you want to use a different carrier messaging app you can't use RCS currently. Also as far as I know the system doesn't actually know what RCS messages are and they're stored as SMS/MMS internally. Like if you restore from a backup or clear data on Google Messages, all your existing RCS messages appear as SMS/MMS.

  • Can we just get third party RCS support

  • I remember a comment before on another app "why is there a secret rule every Lemmy app developer has to pick a gross mascot, this is a literal fucking rat"

  • Lemmy.ml/c/ps5 is moving to Lemmy.world/c/ps5

    Jump
  • Maybe look into creating your own instance (or even a gaming focused instance), like !android@lemdro.id

  • Is that a G on Factorio 💀

  • I was using Relay, but switched to Sync like a month before they killed API

  • Whenever I see articles about iMessage/RCS/SMS I see all the comments about how it's a really American thing and how people in other countries use WhatsApp/others

  • Blank check

  • Do people in the UK even use those

  • No, I'm using it's FTP based triggers. Since most cameras can upload snapshots to FTP servers when there's motion, Shinobi has a feature to trigger motion with FTP.

  • Jellyfin, Shinobi, and more recently NextCloud. Looking into Home Assistant and Paperless.

    Shinobi's on a Pi4 and the Jellyfin/NC are on a mini PC.

  • Should have added a winky face. We can't ban cars, but definitely need to use cars less. Mostly a joke about how the current state of EVs is just green washing.
