because all argentinians live in mainland argentina, they do not have a govt one the other side of globe controlling how their resources are used. Proximity is enough for argentine claims.
The UK settled a population and then claims resources around the island and has established a military base there to carry out western imperialist ambitions based on consensus from that settled population.
