I find most things described as "struggle sessions" tend to be one or two people very loudly arguing against everyone else and refusing to ever back down and just digging themselves deeper and deeper into a corner, it's more about stubbornness than any actual struggle sessions.
There's a reason struggle sessions are important in IRL organising, we all have brainworms that need to be expunged, and sometimes we need to seriously discuss even a silly topic and examine our own thoughts and opinions and self-critique in order to improve our understanding of things, but often we can't realise this on our own, we need our comrade's help in discussing these. Sometimes there is a contentious issue that a group needs to have a party line on, even if that line is "we all disagree, so we don't talk about it and waste too much time arguing instead of building each other up." A group doesn't need to have a complete agreement with each other in all things, but they do need to be principled, and they get there via discussion, and sometimes a discussion is a struggle session, it's a struggle because self-improvement hurts and is difficult to do, but it is necessary.
And I know this is badposting but what if we took badposting seriously for a day, as a bit?
So I'm guessing an article like this is trying to imply that China is "lying" about this, without outright stating, just implying that this is a "slogan" and like any political slogan in the west, it is meaningless and will not actually effect policy at all.
I do wonder how they square the circle of an "evil dictator" who doesn't need to come up with empty political slogans to win re-election making up slogans anyway. I guess the goal isn't to get people to seriously consider it, it's to just give them a knee-jerk reaction of "this is an evil Chinese lie!"

Struggle sessions always come down to this, one side saying "this thing can be harmful, so try not to do it" and the other side insists that "My treats are the most important thing on the planet and how dare you, you want the revolution to fail by making me have to abandon a thing I do solely for fun that can inconvenience hundreds of people or destroy the natural environment and you're literally the worst person on earth if you suggest I pick up healthier and less disruptive hobbies or make any sort of compromise with my behaviour to make other people's lives easier."

I'm starting to think that these "record ticket prices" are less about more people going to the movies and more a sign of inflation, if the prices have doubled in the last decade, then you only need half as many ticket sales to make the same amount of money. So even if fewer people go to the movies, they're still making more money.
Yeah, when talking to people and actually organising in real life, we need to know the kinds of bullshit filling the heads of the average person. It doesn't matter if we have a correct understanding of a situation if we can't convince anyone else of that understanding because they have been pumped so full of lies that their view has no basis in reality. If the US just declared tomorrow that they own Greenland now, and send in troops and mining companies to start extracting their resources, would Denmark even do anything about it?
A lot of people saw this as the US strengthening Israel and making sure they'll last longer in the region, but what if this is the opposite?
What if the plan is to cut and run, and by integrating Israeli military tech, they're basically just grabbing whatever isn't nailed down before fleeing the region entirely?
(Although I'm probably being too hyperbolic here, more likely they're just wanting more direct control of Israel's resources, so they can justify their continued existence, they won't support a colony/vassal that costs them more than they are worth, so they're trying to get more "worth" out of them this way.)
Yeah, Pinochet is a great dogwhistle for them, because a liberal will read a phrase like "Pinochet's helicopter tours" and think nothing of it, so Fascist can slowly normalise their fucked up worldview.
