  • Levelling is usually a chore for me, but this time it was fun. The socket change made it so the levelling is chill instead of constantly having to worry about sockets to keep up the good pace. It's basically a race since if you can get to maps fast you are likely to be able to snipe some good meta uniques.

Charts are fine, they are fast and relatively rewarding for being tile loot mechanic. I wish we could run only charts instead if being blocked from running more by needing to free up space by running a voyage.

Voyages are a mess though. 99% of adjacent modifiers you can get are effectively useless as there is no monsters in there to scale anything. So you either spend hours fishing for rare monsters drop divine orb modifier and then setup a proper voyage or instead just run random tiles and don't even look at the adjacent modifiers. The fact that we have a single tab to prepare for voyages is a crime. Not only it prevents people from enjoying charts, but it also forces those that want to fish for a proper setup to simply delete completed charts if they don't want to lose that rare monsters drop divine orb adjacent modifier they spend hours fishing for.

I'm primarily a mapper so for me this league is a sad one. This patch killed Breach mechanic whichwas the remaining scaler, so the game is in a state now that there is no way to scale map pack size, quantity and rarity anymore to effectively juice the content. We have such a power creep to make hard mapping content viable, and they made it so unprofitable, that you actually losing monery if you invest in that content now.

After this leage reworked Abyss, we hoped and prayed that it will be good, but that was not to be. It drops nothing as the loot chests do not scale with map pack size, quantity and rarity. And even after the "buff patch" all they did was add more chests which drops few orbs worth less than a few chaos.

This is the current state of abyss ground loot, the map was 220% quant, 187% rarity, 136% pack size and 76% more currency.

I'm not hiding any items here, is this really the intended reward from an abyssal crystal? (100+ mobs spawned on this singular spot).

Alch and go on the other hand seems to be in a decent spot. Without inherent ground loot, altars which drop pre-determined loot are the best thing about mapping, so if someone just rushes maps they can enjoy the content and make a decent living.

Map boss rushing is in a similar vain popular and profitable alternative to alch and go. If killing monsters doesn't matter because the loot is pre-determined people will adapt to that.

Bonus: So far the player retention this league is second worst in the Path of Exile history. -100k players in 9 days.

  • To clarify: celebrating death or even advocating for it when it's targeted at military personnel in general context is allowed in this community. Violence is the primary purpose behind military so everyone is there with an explicit consent.

Doing the same for civilians/elected officials is not (even if they are war criminals).

  • If you oppose it, stop participating.

  • The main issue with flights is short hops when better and faster options exists. Per passenger the environmental cost is still very high, but nobody can accuse aviation industry of not actively working to cut the emissions to 0. I wish more industries invested even a fraction of resources for doing the same.

  • This is more of a cautionary tale and evidence for why automated message scanning and reporting is a horrible idea. One false positive can ruin someone's life. In today's day and age an accusation is more powerful than any proof and being falsely accused of having or distributing CSAM is effectively a death sentence.

  • No in fact you did not fix it.

  • Probably not enough to save the league. After Mirage temporary fix not only they didn't improve the loot, but even nerfed it in some mechanics.

Will see if this will be another 10 times buffed league until we reach an okay state.

  • It's insane to me that water cannon usage by China in a land dispute gets more coverage by international corporate media than US comitting war crimes by bombing civilian boats.

Both China and the Philippines said this week they were working towards completing a Code of Conduct for the South China Sea by the end of the year.

Oh look, they are even engaging in diplomacy. What a novel concept.

  • Monarchy is, but not the people. I don't think they have enough good will to sell that to the people at the moment.

  • True, but it does have Permanent Observer State status. But it's a moot argument either way as the immunity given by treaty explicitly extends to anyone invited by the UN to conduct "official business".

  • You either misunderstanding on purpose or have no idea how LLMs are created.

What do you understand by ‘capitalism’ and what has it to do with this issue?

Entire US stock market is held up by a "promise" that "AI" spending will payoff sometime in the future despite them being in so much debt that banks are projecting it to reach $1 trillion by 2028 just from data center construction.

Capitalists need endless money infusion to keep the "promise" alive and China's open weight models that can be run ~130 times cheaper and at the same or better quality now break that cycle. If they can't compete the promise is broken and investment stops and the bubble bursts leading to government bailouts that tank economy for working people.

It has everything to do with this issue.

You are contradicting yourself over and again, the only consistent thing is the positive frame of China. This is just Chinese propaganda and makes no sense.

No, I'm consistent. My world view doesn't consist of X country is bad or X country is good. I say positive things about good things and say negative things about bad things. E.g. I'm very critical of China's digital and metropolises surveillance, while I praise their economic socialism. You just can't comprehend that because for you "China is bad" full stop.
