It's not even about moderation, I couldn't care less about the mods. It was reddit that wanted me to manually click 'delete' button on every single one of my 10k comments from last 13 years, each individually - which is just massively disrespectful. So I used a bot. Free version of the bot was editing into gibberish, paid version offered full deletion. I couldn't care less, just used free version and watched the mayhem. They're free to ban me, report me to admins for breaking ToS, whatever. It would be actually funny if they banned a deleted acocunt.
One of the last straws of disrespect was reddit demanding age verification for me to look at my own post history. It's enshitification all the way.
I deleted mine. Since there was no "delete all posts" button I used bot that edited all into gibberish. It was funny watching countless private messages from multiple communities begging me not to do it this way. Apparently it makes moderation difficult or something.
That was a joke answer. You probably aren't familiar with the western internet meme culture. This was a mockery of people not wanting to answer your question.
I thinks it's source comes more from the behavior of western tourists than anything else.
